The Meltdown at Brighton Resort in UT is back for 2024!

Running from May 3rd to May 19th, you can add some extra spring laps to your season. However, these aren’t your typical spring riding days. Brighton has gone the extra mile and built an extensive terrain park and general “playground” for all types of shredders under their most popular lift, Crest Express.

The Terrain Park features at the Meltdown include a variety of rails, boxes, and jumps. While their general “playground” features include banked slalom turns, rollers, hips, and quarter pipes sprinkled around the entire mountain. The sizes of these features are varied as well, which creates a nice range of options for a wide range of skill levels and riding style.

Lastly, a series of bowls and giant-sized “moguls” have been thrown in towards the bottom of the run making the Meltdown set up even more unique and a source of inspiration for creative riding.

All of these features are paired with the gorgeous Utah spring weather, with temps ranging from the 30s to the 50s for a relaxed and “beach” like vibe on the mountain. The warm temps allow for plenty of “slush slashing” and “party boarding” as well.

As a cherry on top, Brighton has kept the Alpine Rose Lodge open for food, drink, and live music. Of course, the parking lot takes on a life of it’s own with BBQ’s, tailgaiting, and plenty of Après shenanigans.

With tickets being only $40, passes only $149, and existing passes still being valid, this is a hard deal to beat, especially when most other resorts have closed shop for the season. (p.s. even parking reservations are no longer required during the meltdown, finally!) But don’t arrive too late in the day as the lift closes at 2 pm during the Meltdown.

Our Slash Board Shop crew has had a blast shredding the Meltdown! The mountain is on point, the weather’s perfect, and the vibes are high.

Don’t sleep on this one-of-a-kind offering from Brighton; set those golf clubs down for an afternoon and check out the Meltdown!
