Overview
The Ride War Pig is a volume-shifted all-mountain slasher. A short-wide directional twin that’s ready to make WAR on the whole mountain.
Its flat-to-rocker profile creates a playful and forgiving ride that makes deep snow and slush easy to stay on top of, while the Slim Wall technology helps you cut into the snow to rip and grip turns. The board’s ever so slightly directional shape helps you to send it even harder in your strong direction while still being able to ride switch and hit the park.
The mid-flex is great for a wide range of riders and terrain. It’s playful when you want but stable when you need. Perfect for riders of all levels who want a nimble, all-mountain capable, short-wide pig.
profile
-
High-end sintered 4000 Ptex stone ground base material that’s durable, harder, & faster than extruded.
-
2x4 Insert Pattern.
-
BI-RADIAL SIDECUT -A twin sidecut that allows for the underfoot width of a wide board & the tip/tail width of a standard size. This provides improved leverage on landings, grip through turns, & stability when flat base-ing. This smaller radius sidecut keeps the board responsive and nimble as well.
-
PERFORMANCE CORE - High-strength Aspen & Bamboo is combined with lightweight Paulownia wood to provide a perfect balance of strength & weight reduction.
IMPACT PLATES LAMINATES - Added under each binding area to improve compressive strength & prevent board damage.
-
CARBON ARRAY LAMINATES - Widespread carbon stringers placed at the binding zones that gather input from any stance width & all applied pressure angles. Rider input is channeled to the opposing contact point, delivering maximum board control.
HYBRID GLASS - Triax glass on top with biax glass below. For reliable and balanced torsional flex for greater response at speed.
-
SLIM WALL - The evolution of Ride’s Roll-in Construction to the extreme limit. By creating a fully 3-D composite structure over Slimewall material, this results in more efficient energy transfer, lighter weight, & better damping.
-
TOP SHEET - Durable Urethane topsheet material.

Rider review
I tested the 2024/2025 Ride War Pig and had a great time on this volume-shifted machine! It’s one of the original short-wide boards to hit the snowboard market, so I have been eager to test it for a while. And it did not disappoint. The width of the board provides a lot of stability and the Slim Wall bites into the snow on turns. The flat-to-rocker profile made the board feel very slashy, forgiving, and easy to press. The shorter side-cut creates tighter turns and gives the board a nimble feel. Basically, it's hard not to turn, slash, and swivel & sizzle in general on this thing, as that's what it wants to do.
Trees and tight spaces were easy to maneuver, but at slower speeds, a little more effort was needed to get higher up on edge for clean carves due to the width. Nothing crazy but something to be aware of, and once you pick up speed, that transition edge to edge definitely smoothes out. I also noticed with longer drawn-out carves at higher speeds or in rougher terrain, the board would start to wash out a bit at the apex of the turn. This is likely due to the lack of camber and board length.
In the park, this board was solid on jibs with its wide base to balance on and mellow profile for pressing. The pop off jumps felt good, but nothing mind-blowing. Spins felt quick to throw as the swing weight was so low due to the shorter length. The middle-of-the-road flex gave me enough stability to get sendy but was still soft enough to play around on features.
There are a few compromises with this board, but it really excelled at being nimble, playful, and sendy all at the same time. An overall versatile board that I’d love to try in powder as I bet it would slash and spray with ease. I’d recommend this board to beginner riders who have a larger boot size and perhaps more weight and want a versatile, forgiving, yet capable ride. I’d also recommend this board to more intermediate and advanced riders who want a fun, slashy, dynamic board for general all-mountain freestyle and powder riding. Additionally, you can play with sizing. If you want more performance, go up a few centimeters or drop down a few for a more playful deck.
