Overview
The YES Typo is a top-tier all-mountain freestyle snowboard. Based on the design of the YES Basic, the Typo is the upgraded “big brother” with more snap, stability, and speed.
The camrock profile makes the Typo more versatile, as it can handle pow, groomers, and park with ease. The stiffer flex improves the stability for high-speed carving, off-piste charging, and big air landings. The Sintered Spec base will help you keep speed and retain wax, while still providing durability.
One of the biggest features that comes with the Typo is its Underbite. The Underbite edge-tech by YES is a wide indentation on both edges(toe & heel) at both binding insert packs. This creates two additional contact points right under each foot on both the toe and heel edges. These added contact points drastically improve edge hold and allow for direct steering control right under each foot. Additionally, the locations of the Underbite regions allow natural break points for changes in the sidecut radii. Creating 3 distinct radii sections that improve the “smoothness” of carving transitions.
For intermediate riders and up, the YES Typo will take on the park, lay trenches on groomers, boost side hits, and smash pow, all in the same day.

-
SINTERED SPEC - the hardness & chemical properties are very close to true sintered using recycled material from the factory, and its on-snow performance is very close to true sintered. However, it’s formed using the extrusion process. Although the heating & extrusion process has softened the base slightly, it’s still much harder than true Extruded.
-
2x4 Insert Pattern.
-
3 radial side cuts, larger radii at the nose and tail for smoother turn entry and exit. With a tighter radius at the midsection for locking into tight turns.
-
FULL POPLAR - The baseline core for Yes, showcasing tip-to-tail wood-core snowboard construction. A predictable balance between durability, consistent flex, and lightweight performance.
-
Biaxial Fiberglass.
-
UNDERBITE - The edges re-distribute the rider’s weight to enhance turning ease and edge hold. This is done by adding divots inward at the binding areas to reduce and disrupt the surface area of the edge that has contact with the snow while the board is turning. Increasing edge pressure from the binding out, and through the center of the board where the carving arc is taking place. This segments the sidecut into 3 key zones and focuses your body weight onto areas that initiate, hold, & release turns.

Rider review
I rode the 2024/2025 YES Typo in January on a crisp sunny day in Brighton, UT. Right away, I felt that this board had no speed limit. The edges held in all types of terrain, and the rigidity of the board kept me from getting bucked around too much in rough terrain. With the bit of rocker in the nose and tail, plus the 3 radii sidecut, carves felt smooth and easy to lock in. Ollies were quick and easy to engage, with a very skate-like feel and plenty of rebound. I could send it off side hits, rollers, and park jumps with an overall intuitive feel.
This board is a directional twin, but riding switch felt like riding a true twin. With this board being on the stiffer side, it wouldn’t be my top pick for jibbing or newer riders, but for jumps and all-mountain freestyle riding, the flex is spot on. Regarding flex, presses and butter were not too much work due to the rocker in the tip and tail.
I wish I could have ridden this in powder, but based on how it handled some chunkier snow, I think it’d be slightly better than average due to its camrock profile and slightly longer nose. Making this board a versatile option for riding park, powder, and everything in between.
I’d recommend this board to intermediate riders and up who are looking for an all-mountain freestyle board that can handle a more aggressive riding style. One that likes speed, carving, and airtime. As well as for those who want a one board quiver for riding all types of conditions with freestyle flair.
